Car celui que l'on présentait comme un monarque glacial, cruel et ambitieux se révéla être une femme à la beauté incommensurable, ouverte d'esprit, cultivée. Si elle portait un nom masculin, ce qui n'avait pas manqué de me surprendre, c'est uniquement parce que son père s'était éteint sans héritier mâle. Elle avait donc décidé de devenir fils et fille du monarque et de perpétuer la tradition des Rois de Granit. Le seul défaut qu'on aurait pu lui reprocher était celui d'être une fidèle de Seth, le Protecteur des déserts, disciple du chaos... Mais loin de l'avoir rendue maléfique, cette vénération avait forgé son caractère et l'avait mise sur un pied d'égalité avec ses glorieux ancêtres mâles."

Because, the one people presented as someone cold, cruel and ambitious, was a splendid woman, open-minded, cultured. She beard a male name, I was really surprised, because her father died without any male heir. She decided to becaome both her daughter and son and rule the kingdom of Hout-ka-Ptah and perpetuate the tradition inherited from the "Kings of Granite". The only fault people kept in mind about her was the fact that she worshiped Sutekh, Guardian of Desert and disciple of Chaos. But she was not evil because of this: this worshiping was the key to her strong character and she was able to be the equal of her glorious ancestors."

I made a lot of researches about hieroglyphics. And I must say a big thank you to il signore Rossellini for his wonderful works!
Concerning the hieroglyphics, you have parts of the Cannibal Hymn, prays to Ra (turned into prays to Sutekh), Story of Qadesh...
Why Sutekh who is considered as a bad and violent god ? Because he is not only this! He became evil with the story of Isis and Osiris but actually he is a fierce warrior, fighting against Apophis in order to protect the Solar Bark. During the Ramesside Period, he was the equal of Horus, a symbol of bravery and strength
Actually there was a real Neferkarê, pharaoh of Egypt during the IInd dynasty. He is mentionned in the Turin canon but none knows the length of his reign. So few is known about him that the mystery remians: so... if he was just a Queen/Paharaoh like Hatshepsut ?

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactGreat painting! Her facial expression, and with her hands on her hips, she looks like a strong, no nonsense woman. The tilt of her body also gives her a tough, confident, informal look. Her clothing, jewelry and other accessories look great! Her headdress and eye shadow look very Egyptian. Her tight mouth also make her look formidable.
The artwork behind her also look Egyptian. I don't know if Egyptian royalty had blue eyes, but they look nice. Larger eyes would have given her more of a Mediterranean look. She doesn't look like she is pretending to be a man which also shows confidence.
