Description
"During the war against the 5,000 Orc Army, she killed 5,001 Orcs... She forgot her first lieutnant was actually an Orc too..."
Just a little gift for to thank him for his two beautiful artworks featuring Odessa and Ereshkidal
He asked me "something that could make me improve" And I guess here it is... It took me forever to finish her but I'm so happy with the result! All the effects! And details! I really HAVE TO take the time to finish my drawings and not to botch them... I'm sure I could much more improve with time, I need it! The pose is inspired by a model in a French magazine and the background is inspired by a LOTR concept art done by Jeremy Benett
Her design was nothing I thought a lot about... I mean I just wanted a strong woman, an axe, blood and horns... And after this I began to draw all the other elements I was also inspired by Celtic and Norse warriors and when the drawing began to "live" I saw a gorgeous yet terryfing woman, dressed with fur and silk skirt... She had to be beautiful but not seducing.
Manilith is the Goddess of Destruction in Fenno-Sarmatia, but she embodies the Destruction linked to purification and revival. She has a positive aspect even if she is usually depicted as violent, dangerous and impredictable.
