"She was the Rose of Erin, the lady most of the nobles would like to marry... But she was betrayed by the only one she loved... And her heart became stone, her eyes were empty abyss... And the ritual began... Every storm was the way to express her pain, her sadness, her anger... On the top of the cliff she was defying it, defying her fate, under the merciful look of Hestia's statue, the Goddess of Light... May she guide her..." Tales of the Black Bard, I, 8
Well another quick manip This time for
I guess sometimes love can really hurt and you feel so bad...
I am reminded immediately of a guardian angel painting that hung over my bed when I was a child. The angel stood behind two children who were crossing a narrow bridge. It was implied they would safely make it across. However, in this piece, that assurance is not there. The angel here will likely be the angel ferrying the unhappy soul across to the other side. Of course, it is tragic, but it is also a wonderful work. The rain falling from left to right shows that fate is working against the girl. The angel is neutral. Her arms are not reaching out to help her. The angel is merely presiding and watching. It is overall, very well done.
